Rajasthan

India’s technicolour state of Rajasthan oozes splendour and an old-world charm unlike anywhere else. Spend long, balmy days in pink city Jaipur discovering must-see forts, City Palace, Albert Hall and Hawa Mahal and scouring bustling markets for one-of- a-kind treasures and trinkets. Reserve a few days to head over to Udaipur – considered one of the most romantic spots in India – and wander the slightly more tranquil but equally colourful streets as well as soaking up the beautiful Lake Palace, Jag Niwas Palace and Jagadish Temple (don’t forget to cover up for sight-seeing).
